GLOW Workshop UW-Madison will be hosting a workshop on the topic of offshore wind energy technologies for application on the Great Lakes. The Great Lakes Offshore Wind (GLOW) activities are aimed to advance knowledge and understanding in fields of electrical, marine, aerodynamic, structural, legal, regulatory, social and environmental systems with a common goal to identify challenges that stand in the way of realizing off-shore wind energy stems on the Great Lakes and formulate convergent research questions to overcome the challenges. Recordings will be available after the event. |
WEMPEC Faculty Shoutout Bulent Sarlioglu has been selected for the IEEE PELS Outstanding Achievement Award in Aerospace Power. He received this award for his contributions to the research and development of high-performance electric drives for aerospace applications. |
