Mission of the Position

The Power Electronics Engineer will support initial design of the power electronics in automotive high power, traction inverters. The person will be part of the Engineering power electronics team that also work on technologies in the field of power electronics, specifically inverters.


We are seeking intermediate level candidates. As an Intermediate level engineer, the engineer will work independently with limited supervision to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using knowledge and judgement to make adaptations and modifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control unit development for automotive applications
  • Analysis and design of electronic circuits
  • Simulation and testing of electronic circuits
  • Analysis, application and implementation of customer requirements (specifications) and normative
  • Specifications (ISO 26262, EN60664, EN16750, …)
  • Maintaining contacts and looking after international suppliers
  • Support for our manufacturing partners

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Technical education (Bachelors or Masters) in the fields of electronics / electrical engineering / mechatronics
  • 3 – 5 years of professional experience in electronics development, preferably in the automotive sector
  • Expertise in Altium Designer desired
  • Specialist knowledge of electronics simulation (LTSpice, PSIM, Ansys…) desired
  • Specialist knowledge of functional safety (ISO26262) desired
  • Functional understanding of complex systems consisting of mechanics, electronics and software
  • Willingness for constant further training in technical and automotive areas
  • High quality awareness
  • High level of independence and flexibility
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team
  • Communication and presentation skills,(preferred)
  • Experience in Working with Asia JV partners e.g., S. Korea, China

Work Environment

Office environment, 10% travel required.


While working in this environment, the employee will be exposed to machinery, moving equipment and material, moderate noise, airborne particles, fumes and various levels of temperature created by manufacturing processes.
