 This position is eligible for a flexible or telework work schedule arrangement at the present time.  The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer – Electric Drive Architect for Construction & Forestry located in Dubuque, IA you will lead cross functional team to define and develop electrification system architectures for construction and forestry vehicles. In addition, you will:

  • Work with various product lines to understand the applications and gather stakeholder requirements to new electric drive solutions
  • Leverage team to identify solutions and understand technical challenges for electric drive systems
  • Develop high level cost analysis and simulation models to understand financial, system performance and customer impacts for new electric drive systems
  • Engage with cross-functional and enterprise-wide teams to leverage common solutions that meet system cost, quality, and performance requirements
  • Keep up to date on industry trends and provide input and insights on the Construction and Forestry Electrification Roadmap

What Skills You Need

  • 5 or more years of experience designing or testing off-highway equipment
  • 5 or more years of system engineering or equivalent experience developing technical solutions that meet customer needs
  • 3 or more years of experience working on technology development projects, developing, and demonstration innovative solutions
  • Proven ability to work across cross-functional teams to understand challenges, and develop solutions
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical issues
  • Ability and willingness to travel both domestic and internationally, up to 25%

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Knowledge in areas of electric drive systems including e-machines, inverters, converters, chargers, cables/connectors, and/or batteries
  • Advanced system engineering training
  • Knowledge of Construction and Forestry applications
  • Proven ability to mentor others
  • Advanced degree in relevant engineering discipline


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
