October 9, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

WEMPEC Seminar | October 9, 2020

Join our ECE colleague, Line Roald, as she presents her research interests and work to our WEMPEC Students and Visitors. Line Roald is an Assistant Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering and a Grainger Institute Fellow. Her research focuses on the modeling and optimization of energy systems to ensure reliable grid operations as renewable sources such as solar and wind to replace traditional forms of generation such as coal and nuclear. Her group is developing mathematical tools and software implementations to model and optimize system operation and energy markets, while taking into account the impact of uncertain events such as variations in renewable energy production, component failures and large-scale outages.
